What is Kaleidoscope?

Kaleidoscope is Light of the World Women's Ministry, geared towards helping our ladies fulfill and enrich their lives through fellowship and ministry.

Have you ever looked through a kaleidoscope? Were you thrilled with all of the beautiful colors portrayed when you turned the instrument ever so slightly?
 
A Kaleidoscope is described as:


     *  A beautiful form to see
     *  A complex pattern of moving shapes and colors
     *  A series of changing phases and events.

All women are at stages of life that are forever changing. You may be single, engaged, married, have a career, balancing children, or an empty nester. No matter what season you are in, you are a beautiful woman in God's eyes. When women come together as a group, a beautiful form, like a kaleidoscope is made.

 Our Women's Ministry exists to form more beautiful kaleidoscopes in our world, as we let Jesus shine through our lives.

A significant part of women’s ministry is to try to encourage the ladies of LOTW to grow in their faith relationship with Jesus. We do this through events like Women of Faith, weekly women’s Bible studies, spiritual retreats and small groups.  Spiritual growth does not happen overnight, but is a lifelong journey that is furthered by our encouragement and support of each other.

"But may the righteous be glad and rejoice before God; may they be happy and joyful." Psalm 68:3

With the hectic pace of life and all the stress and burdens we carry on our shoulders, sometimes it is good to just get away and have a little fun.  The following are a list of some of the “Just for Fun” activities you can be a part of in Women’s Ministry at LOTW.

•  Nights out with the girls
•  Tea Parties for Ladies and Little Girls
•  Christmas by Candlelight  
•  A Trip to the spa
•  Bunko
•  And Much Much More

"You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours." Psalm 128:2

We understand that many of us have been richly blessed, and we believe it to be our Christian response to be a blessing to others.  The way we pass on blessings may be a trip to the food bank, or collecting prom dresses for young ladies who do not have the financial means to buy dresses for their prom.  

Mom2Mom

Uniting mothers with children of all ages to grow spiritually, talk on parenting topics, discuss book studies, enjoy mom's night outings, and preschool playgroup. 

Meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Friday of every month at 9:30am-11:00am.
